ASMP Member Free

Come out and get inspired!! Join with other ASMP members and explore the most comprehensive retrospective of the great American photographer Irving Penn (1917-2009) to date, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art!

The exhibition marks the centennial of the artist’s birth. More than 200 photographs by Penn will be featured in this exhibit from over the course of his nearly 70-year career, including iconic fashion studies; portraits of urban laborers; female nudes; tribesmen in New Guinea; and the artist’s beloved portraits of cultural figures such as: Truman Capote, Picasso and Ingmar Bergman.
We will meet at 3:15 pm by the south end of the water fountain between 82nd & 83rd near the entrance. We will explore the exhibition, then afterwards we’ll go to a local happy hour to discuss while enjoying some libations. We look forward to seeing you there, and to celebrating the centennial of a true master.

Join us on July 11th before this memorable exhibit closes on July 30th!
